Today is World Elephant Day! In honour of these incredible creatures, today’s blog takes a look at elephants through the talented, well-travelled eyes, or rather lens, of photographer, Marina Cano. Nothing beats witnessing these majestic animals in the wild, especially in the herds Marina came across in the plains of Kenya. Until that day comes for you, take a look below…
Featured Photographer: Marina Cano
Marina Cano is a brilliant landscape and wildlife photographer, based in Cantabria, in the North of Spain. Her work has been published around the world and has won numerous international awards. Her must-have book entitled “Cabárceno” is filled with stunning imagery which she took over three years in the largest wildlife park in Europe of the same name.
In December 2012 she published her second book: “Drama & Intimacy”, a carefully selection from the pictures she took in South Africa, Kenya, England and Cabarceno. She has had exhibitions in Cape Town, London and Spain and is currently photographing wildlife in Africa. She says, “I’m amazed with the beauty I’ve found everywhere.”
In celebration of World Elephant Day this year, Marina sent us some of her favourite elephant shots, which she took on a trip to the Amboseli National Park and the famous Masai Mara in Kenya.
