City:Polokwane
Stadium: Peter Mokaba Stadium

Polokwane which means Place of Safety is a city in the Polokwane Local Municipality and capital of the Limpopo province, South Africa. It is also sometimes caled by its former name Pietersburg. A vibrant, busy and colourful wonderland in a sea of grasslands and surrounded by scenic mountains.  Home to many fascinating people and muany varied cultures.

Steeped in history, alive with colorful cultures, surrounded by myths and legends the area offers the finest of accommodations, which vary from first class hotels to game lodges, highly acclaimed bed and breakfast lodges and traditional cottages and tents.

Named after one of the renowned sons of the struggle and emancipation of South Africa against the apartheid regime, the Peter Mokaba Stadium holds much  historical significance in South Africa. The design of the  largely concrete structure  is inspired by the locally iconic Baobab tree, with the steel structure supporting the roof plane gathered together at each corner of the stadium and supported by giant ‘trunk’ structures which accommodate vertical circulation ramps and service cores.

The stadium was built next to the old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane in the Limpopo Province. The newly-built Peter Mokaba stadium is situated approximately 5km from the city centre, with a total seating capacity of 45,000.
