A week ago I stayed at Franschhoek Country House & Villas and was totally blown away. On arrival my partner and I were upgraded to one of the hotel’s Villa suites and we did not leave the room the entire day and evening. It was so beautiful. On checking into our Villa we were met by smiling professionalism and served champagne and gourmet snacks. We relaxed on our balcony over-looking the colourful rose garden sipping and in awe of our luck.
Later we were meant to go out to watch a rugby game at a well know local restaurant, but we opted rather to watch the game in the Villa suite as we had surround sound and all our snacks and local beverages were on tap… far preferable to a smoke filled bar, I thought.
There were speakers in the bathroom, so I indulged myself with a relaxing bath serenaded by Michael Buble. After that, clean and relaxed, there was just no way I was leaving and so we ordered room service from the hotels renowned Monneaux Restaurant. The dinner was superb, romantic and just about perfect.
The following morning, after a breakfast that I will never forget, it was literally that good, we went wine tasting in Franschhoek. Many a glass of the valleys finest put the final topping on an amazing experience at Franschhoek Country House & Villas.
