This week it was breakfast at the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel in Cape Town. We arrived to find a roaring fire and hot cup of coffee – now that’s what I call a good start to the day!

After the early morning cuppa we wandered around this delightfully authentic hotel. The Cape Cadogan Hotel is a National Monument and its colonial Victorian architecture dates back to the 19th Century. It is a truly beautiful building and if you are the kind of traveler who likes luxury but whom also seeks an authentic experience, then this is a brilliant choice of accommodation. Cape Town is full of colonial buildings with Dutch and British influence and a large percentage of residential housing is reminiscent of this same heritage. Tucked away in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town’s favourite suburb, it is not only centrally located but offers leafy oak trees, magnificent views of Table Mountain and is close to trendy bars, restaurants and coffee shops in the vibey Kloof Street.

Partly owned and managed by the same team who own and manage Lion Sands – it’s no wonder that this quaint hotel oozes with charm, a down to earth attitude and the exceptional and friendly service that Lion Sands is renowned for.

Needless to say we had a delicious breakfast with all the toppings and some more good coffee. A perfect beginning to the day and a good reminder of why we send our guests to this picturesque and very stylish hotel.

A BIG thank you to Cape Cadogan for their hospitality and their continued supportive interaction with the Rhino Africa team!
